Melksham, Wiltshire based CPI Antony Rowe is a major player in the book printing market, producing books and printed documents for major publishing houses, large industrial groups and service companies, and administrative bodies.

CPI had already implemented a well known colour management system into its digital workflow but felt it was not getting the results it desired. A new solution was needed.

Defining the actual needs of the company led MPXColour to recommend ColorLogic, a suite of colour tools that deliver high quality colour management. MPX also built a custom calibration solution specific for CPI’s HP digital web print process and added the use of the Konica FD-9 to streamline and speed up the fingerprinting process.

CPI was surprised at how much better the ColorLogic calibration system was to its existing system. The colour vibrancy and balance were far superior and the result was a far better quality product for its clients, whilst also streamlining production with the built-in Callas PDF processing.

"Not being one for quotes and speeches, I would just like to say that I am very pleased with the improvements to the quality and consistency we can now deliver to our clients. Specifically, our HP's are achieving a Pillar Box Red and exceptional vibrancy which is exactly what our clients demand in the market."
- Martin Collyer, Divisional General Manager - STMA Division
